Sport in St Joseph's N.S.

We offer a range of sports throughtout the year for both girls and boys:

• In September Ulster Rugby funds coaching with Jon Watt for tag rugby, for the senior classes. They aslo sometimes give inspirational talks and this is a real treat for the kids involved.
• Students can aslo participate in Gaelic football leagues throughtout the year in both girl and boys categories. Last year our boys team were crowned Cumann na mBunscol champions and it was a great boost for our school. 
• Handball is a huge part of our school and wider community. Ulster Handball provide coaching for 4th class upwards and we participate in Cumann na mBunscol competitions also with many students reaching semi finals and even All Ireland Finals. 
• Athletics: Cross country is also offered with many children running in competitions for Cumann na mBunscol. We have had many past pupils go on to achieve huge success in running. 
• Soccer league is always a big hit and children play against other teams in Cavan. With many sporting heros in the area it is always great fun.
