The Peace Proms

Peace Proms is a free, large-scale music education program and choral initiative for primary school children across Ireland and Northern Ireland. Run by the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland (CBOI), it promotes "peace through music," involving over 35,000 children annually in workshops and massive, renowned arena concerts. It focuses on peace, unity, inclusion and tolerance by bringing children from all backgrounds together through music. Children learn a repertoire of songs in school along with choreography, participate in regional workshops, and perform in large-scale concerts accompanied by the CBOI. We have attended the show in the RDS for the last 9 years. Practice is after school on a voluntary basis and children from 4th/5th/6th sign up every September to be part of the club.
